Abstract

The establishment of the infrastructure for spatial information in Europe (INSPIRE) is presented, and activities aimed at forming a national infrastructure for spatial information in Croatia (NISI) are described. The objective is to facilitate access to existing spatial information and services, and to enable their use in a better and more efficient way. The present situation regarding NISI infrastructure is presented, and the needs and requirements of users and producers of such data are formulated. Current research has shown that NISI subjects are still insufficiently acquainted with this issue.
