Acceptability of thermal-insulation products in building industry

Sonja Šilhard-Mihaljević

Abstract

The author presents the process of proving acceptability of thermal-insulations products, especially those made of mineral wool, expanded polystyrene and extruded polystyrene, which are most frequently used in building industry precisely because of their good thermal-insulation properties. Considering the new building regulations and some uncertainties related to the use of these products, the paper may be of interest to all participants in the construction process: clients, designers, reviewers, supervising engineers and contractors.
