Bending moment - curvature diagram for reinforced-concrete girders

Abstract

Procedures for calculating bending moment - curvature diagram for rectangular and T-shaped reinforced-concrete girders, with differences in the field and bearing, are described in the paper. The procedure of forming diagram with three typical points, gradual increase in bending moment and gradual increase in curvature, is presented. Differences between these three approaches are indicated. It is emphasized in the final part of the paper that the diagram determined by three typical points is sufficiently accurate for practical use.
