Zrinka Paladino

Abstract

Biographical data about academician Lavoslav Horvat, architect who also designed significant power supply projects, are presented. These projects are four hydropower plants: "Zakučac", "Orlovac", "Vinodol" in Croatia, and "Sholayar I" in India. He also designed the command building for the Jablanica Hydropower Plant in Bosnia and Herzegovina. All these projects are presented in full detail. In 1962, the Viktor Kovačić award for the most valuable architectural achievement was bestowed to academician Horvat for the design of the Zakučac hydropower plant.
