Vesna Lacković, Mira Matošević, Ivan Turčić

Abstract

Causes of damage to stone facing of the interior surfaces of reinforced-concrete elements of buildings are described. Stone facing consisting of marble slabs from the Carrara deposit is described. Relevant in situ and laboratory tests are presented. Damage analyses are described. In conclusion, authors define influences that must be taken into account during the design and realization of exterior and interior stone facing systems that are used for cladding reinforced concrete load bearing elements.
